Elevate Your Vision with Modern Cataract Surgery at Ighani Eye Care

Senior couple running after cataract surgery at Ighani Eye Care

If you are an older American, and you haven’t already been diagnosed with cataracts, it is most likely something that is in your future. By age 80, more than half of all Americans have had a cataract or cataract surgery. It’s that common!

At Ighani Eye Care, we like to tell our patients that a cataract diagnosis is nothing to dread. In fact, it’s an opportunity! An opportunity to not only restore your vision, but to possibly improve it and reduce your dependency on glasses, bifocals and readers after cataract surgery. We sincerely love to guide individuals through this happy journey.

Ighani Eye Care Has the Latest Technology for Better Outcomes

At Ighani Eye Care, we do things a little differently; in a great way! And, trust us, we take “care” to a whole new level when it comes to cataract surgery. From diagnosis and consultation through to surgery day and post-op exam, we want your total experience to embody the genuine care and concern we have for you, your vision and your life.

There are two types of cataract surgery: traditional cataract surgery and laser-assisted cataract surgery. Both are straightforward outpatient procedures performed in just minutes. Both are generally safe and enjoy excellent success rates.

We are proud to say that we are always at the front of the line where new ophthalmology technology is concerned. We are pleased to offer FDA-approved laser technology for your laser-assisted cataract surgery procedure. Laser-assisted cataract surgery performs the critical steps of cataract surgery for us. It is FDA-approved to correct astigmatism but is also:

  • More precise
  • More accurate
  • Decreases risk
  • Can reduce your need for glasses after cataract surgery

We have invested in the Alcon LenSx Laser technology for laser-assisted cataract procedures requiring the correction of any astigmatism. This allows our surgeons to see your cataract in high resolution while taking highly accurate measurements of your eye in real time.

Premium Vision with a Premium Lens

If you choose standard cataract surgery with a standard monofocal lens, it’s likely you will still need glasses, contacts or even reading glasses afterward, depending on your current visual needs. But today, there are many cataract surgery options that can reduce or even eliminate your need for glasses after cataract surgery.

More specifically, the combination of laser-assisted cataract surgery and premium lenses can provide excellent outcomes and reduced dependency on corrective eyewear as long as you are a good candidate. Our premium lenses are:

  • PanOptix® Trifocal Lens: designed to deliver focusing power at near, mid and far distances, correcting astigmatism and eliminating or reducing the need for glasses, bifocals, trifocals and even readers!
  • Vivity®  and Eyhance™:  provide an extended depth-of-focus. Offers correction of distance and mid-range vision, however you still will need reading glasses for smaller print and fine detailed work.

But don’t worry, we will go over all your options and select a lens based on your desired outcomes at your evaluation!

Second Half, Better Half

Of the year, that is! By the second half of the year, most people have met their annual deductible on their health insurance, making it a great time to schedule needed medical procedures like cataract surgery. And don’t forget! Those deductibles reset in January. Once your deductible is met, your supplemental insurance might just help pay for more of your procedure costs. Not sure how all that works? We are! Let’s talk.

Your Vision, Your Way

More than two million men and women undergo cataract surgery every year, making it one of the most common and most successful medical procedures in the U.S. today.

At Ighani Eye Care, we are excited to help as many people as possible enjoy restored, rejuvenated vision after cataract surgery, and we would be honored to serve you, too. Enjoy your vision your way with cataract surgery at Ighani Eye Care. We can’t wait for you to enjoy your golden years with the vision you deserve. Schedule your cataract evaluation today.
