Byron White joined Ighani Eye Care on February 4, 2022, bringing 22 years of experience as a technician to our team. With a teaching background in middle school science and high school biology, Byron’s path reflects his lifelong commitment to learning, teaching, and helping others thrive.
From the very first day, Byron has been integral to creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and supportive environment for both patients and coworkers. His commitment to his craft and enthusiasm for life inspire everyone around him.
A Passion for Helping Others
When asked about his favorite memories at Ighani Eye Care, Byron highlights two significant milestones: the practice’s Opening Day and the launch of our Surgery Center. However, he’s quick to add that his favorite memories are made daily, sharing laughter and camaraderie with coworkers and building meaningful connections with patients.
For Byron, work isn’t just a job—it’s a passion. “I love what I do,” he says, a sentiment that resonates in his dedication and the high standard of care he provides.
Outside of the office, Byron brings his creative and culinary talents to life. He enjoys leatherworking and woodworking, finding joy in crafting with his hands. In the kitchen, he’s a maestro of South Louisiana Cajun and Creole cuisine, with dishes like gumbo and étouffée holding a special place in his heart.
A proud native of South Louisiana, Byron cherishes his birthplace as his favorite place in the world. But he also hopes to one day travel the globe aboard a cruise ship, embracing new cultures and experiences.
