Ighani Eye Care opened its doors last month in Bedford, Texas. Dr. Farshid Ighani (Dr. I, to his patients!) has practiced in the area since 2009. Conveniently located in Bedford, Texas, Ighani Eye Care is situated right in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

About Dr. I
Farshid Ighani, MD, is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist and Cataract and Refractive Specialist. Respected for his experience and skill in the medical management of many eye diseases and conditions, patients appreciate him most for his warmth and compassion. You’re going to love Dr. I!
Dr. I grew up with a passion for medicine. But what does that really mean? Well, one thing it means is that he comes from an impressively long line of medical professionals. Let’s just say dinner conversation at the Ighani house in west Texas when Dr. I was growing up centered around science, medicine, work ethic, focus and family. Dad was a dentist. Mom, a nurse. Brother grew up to be an anesthesiologist and sister, an internal medicine doctor.
So when it was young Dr. I’s turn, he chose ophthalmology as his field of study. He was drawn to the artistry and intricacy of eye surgery as much as he desired to get to know and serve patients for a lifetime. Ophthalmology offered the perfect mix of technical and relational, science and art. Off to UT Austin for undergraduate (Go Horns!) and medical school at Texas Tech (Get your guns up!), and the rest is history.
