Meet Dr. Anding

Dr. Brian Anding is a native Texan and comes from a long line of Texans on both sides of his family. He grew up in Dallas, attending St. Mark’s School of Texas and taking regular trips with his dad to hunt deer, dove and quail, among other native Texas game species.

Dr. Anding earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Texas A&M University in College Station and attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he earned his medical degree in 1986 with induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Anding completed an internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas and his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock, Arkansas. He then returned home to Texas to start his career.

Dr. Anding is married to Gloria Anding, MD, an internal medicine doctor who practices in the area. They have two grown daughters; one who works in finance in New York City and the other who plans to begin her training in pediatric medicine upon graduation from medical school.

Dr. Anding remains a lover of the great outdoors and enjoys fly fishing, hunting and shooting sports. In addition, he enjoys cooking for his family and traveling.
