Meet Dr. Ryne

With more than 40 years of dedicated eye care experience, Dr. Wallace Ryne has built a legacy of leadership, innovation and service in the field of optometry. A founder at heart, he established Clearview Eyecare and Laser Center and co-found one of the largest laser vision correction companies in the United States, where more than 13,000 procedures were performed during his tenure.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ryne has been a respected voice in refractive surgery, lecturing in over 50 cities across the U.S. and Canada and educating hundreds of affiliated doctors on advanced laser vision technologies. Prior to founding Clearview, he maintained private practices in both Southlake and Uvalde, Texas, and served as Executive Vice President of the Beacon Eye Institute.

For decades, Dr. Ryne has been deeply involved in organized optometry, serving as Past President of the Texas Optometric Association, maintaining long-standing memberships in national and state organizations and twice being named the Texas Optometrist of the Year.

Outside of the exam room, Dr. Ryne is known for his passion for advancing eye care, mentoring young professionals, and fostering an environment where patients always come first.

Dr. Ryne is married to his wife Karen and together they have 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren. In their free time they love traveling and playing pickleball.
